Health and Well-Being The Real Food for Better Being Letter

Why am I writing about real food for better being?

Dear Reader,

Nature provides us with an abundance of extraordinary foods, brimming with fabulous nutrients and health-giving properties. Years of industrial farming and our desire for 'perfect' unblemished food grown using pesticides while also depleting the soil reduces the nutritional quality of the food we buy and eat. That means we cannot always be sure of getting the nutrients we need.

Kitchen lore

In my store cupboard are some super-nutritious functional foods that complement my weekly fresh food shop. By incorporating some exceptional foods into my family's daily diet, I found that I could help make sure that we all eat enough high-quality nutrients. I know that these foods bring wonderful benefits to our health, making them great value for money.

Healing foods

When I started looking into these foods and their properties, I was amazed to learn about the history of healing foods, such as honey. It seems to me that there is still a place for traditional food wisdom alongside cutting-edge scientific practice.

Vital ingredients

I founded Green Bay because I wanted to make remarkable natural foods more available and affordable for everyone. A carefully sourced, distinctive range can really make a difference to your wellbeing. These wonderful foods really can help maintain vitality and safeguard long term health.

Better being - one cell at a time

I feel that good nutritional health means taking in enough essential fatty acids, good protein, high quality vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, digestive enzymes and dietary fibre. They're all essential to good cellular health, the building block of our overall well-being.

To make it easy, Green Bay nutritionist, Sally Fenn, and I have identified six 'shelves' in our store cupboard; five categories essential for a healthy body and mind every day (which includes pre and pro-biotics currently not covered in our range) and Sweet Remedies for those times when we need a bit of a boost.

If you have other questions or would like to tell me about some of your own experiences with manuka honey or our other functional foods please do email me.

Wishing you the very best of health,
