We get our salt from Lake Grassmere, a lagoon which was formed 1,800 years ago. The prevailing wind is a strong, dry 'north-westerly' which creates the ideal conditions for natural salt production.
It takes a full year for the sea water to evaporate naturally in the sun and harvesting takes place in late summer. The salt is then
screened, graded and packed.![]()
Mix 1/2 tablespoon of Chunky Sea Salt with 1 tablespoon honey, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, add whole grain mustard or chopped olives, as desired. Rub into fillet or leg of lamb.
