Nature provides us with an abundance of extraordinary foods. Flax, or Linum Usitatissimum, which has been grown in Europe for centuries, is a perfect example.

Our Flax Fibre is a fine flax seed meal which provides a great balance of soluble and insoluble fibre, useful for removing toxins from the body. Flax is an excellent source of lignans, plant compunds that help restore immunity, and, through their gentle oestrogenic action, better hormonal balance.

As well as Omega-3 essential fatty acids, so vital for building healthy cells in the whole body, Flax Fibre contains 33% protein, making it a satisfying, nutritious component of a healthy diet.

Our Flax Fibre is grown by Waihi Bush Organic Farm. The flax seed is grown in the rich soils of selected farms in the South Island of New Zealand. After harvest the flax seeds are cold-pressed then milled. Utmost care is taken at each stage from field to fork to maintain the integrity and fresh taste of this food.
