Good Versus Evil: Antioxidants v Free Radicals!

“The most pressing human health issue is oxidative stress caused by physical and mental stress.”

~ Prof Peter Molan MBE of the renowned New Zealand honey research unit.

Professor Molan’s pioneering research identified antibacterial properties of NZ Manuka Honey; now one of the worlds great health honeys. Prof Molan’s research focused on oxidative stress. The result is an amazing health discovery.

Some honeys and other foods have an extraordinary antioxidant value and can pre-emptively strike out the rogue molecules in the body that cause free radicals. Free radicals cause oxidative stress! Blackcurrants could be in the most important source of this important health value.

The major cause of free radical production in the body is rogue iron molecules (unbound iron molecules). The work conducted by Waikato’s Research Unit shows that some foods neutralise the rogue iron before it can create free radicals. They are in effect a pre-emptive strike defence system in the body!
